Takeo Kimura and Nobue Terazawa, upon leaving Japan in 1956, decided to love and dedicate their lives to Brazil. In his farewell speech to his homeland, a phrase spoken by the speaker touched the heart of young Takeo: "You Japanese, don't just look for money and riches in Brazil, look to transform lives, places and people."

Our journey began in 1956, when Takeo Kimura and Nobue Terazawa, still young, left Japan with hearts full of dreams and an inspiring mission. They initially settled in São Paulo, where they lived and worked for years, building a life and putting down roots. However, their dream of transforming lives and places led them to seek new horizons...

In January 2020, with a wealth of experience and knowledge, they moved to Tabuleiro do Norte in the interior of Ceará to start growing figs. In the Brazilian Northeast, due to its beneficial climate and soil, the couple and their family found an environment that provided ideal conditions for growing high-quality figs. Just one year later, in 2021, they reaped the first fruits of their hard work and dedication.

At Kimura Agrofarm, we believe that dreams have no age limits. The story of Takeo and Nobue is a testament to the transformative power of human strength. They didn’t just grow figs; they transformed a region, bringing development and prosperity to the backlands of Ceará.
